About Us

Bay Area Career Guide is a joint effort between the Bay Area Community College Consortium (BACCC) and City College of San Francisco (CCSF)

BACCC is a 26-member California community college collaborative dedicated to advancing the colleges’ ability to provide occupational/technical education and economic and workforce development programs and services to their communities and businesses.

Through an annual grant, BACCC funds City College of San Francisco to provide outreach and training services that promote career and technical education with Bay Area secondary schools and community-based organizations through the Bay Area Career Guide project.  CCSF's Office of Workforce and Economic Development and Career Development and Placement Center jointly oversee this effort.

Bay Area Career Guide focuses solely on promoting and raising awareness about career and technical education and training opportunities at Bay Area community colleges.  Our program recognizes that individuals may have an interest in other post-secondary education and training and they can explore these options in the Connect section.

Grant funded in part by Carl D. Perkins Vocational and Technical Education Act of 1998 (VTEA) grant 06-342-004, awarded to San Mateo County Community College District and administrated by the California Community College Chancellor’s Office.
